Sixteen-year-old Ash is a natural performer.

He loves singing along to the radio in the car and would always put on performances at home for his family. He loves getting to dance in PE at school and always takes part in any school performance he can, but he wishes he had more chances to perform.

Ash’s family see that he loves to perform and want to give him more opportunities. They know there aren’t as many resources for the performing arts in mainstream schools these days so they begin looking for other ways to help Ash follow his passion. They come across his local Stagecoach school and sign him up for classes.

As Ash gets more confident in class and moves up to Further Stages, he gets to act with his fellow students as a small theatre company. He learns about life on and off the stage and gains a better understanding of the process of putting on a show.

Ash reaches 18 and goes off to study the performing arts at drama school. After graduating, she goes to auditions, lands performing roles and teaches at his old Stagecoach at weekends. He loves the consistency of working at Stagecoach whilst working in an unpredictable industry and also feels passionate about inspiring kids like himself and others looking to build some key life skills to take them anywhere they want to be in life.
